AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Russian Hill Academy, the premier Mandarin Immersion preschool and daycare will be open for afterschool care starting Fall Semester, 2014.
Following up on the well-received Mandarin preschool program, Russian Hill Academy will be open for after school care for ages Kindergarden to 5th grade. The daily schedule will include help with English homework, and for those kids enrolled in Mandarin language schools, assistance with Chinese homework.
Mandarin instruction will depend on the child’s experience with Mandarin, with individualized lessons using standard texts from China. The children will be taught standard Chinese pronunciation from China.
The daily schedule will include Mandarin lessons, including reading and writing; Help with homework, Chinese and/or English; Dance; Calligraphy, crafts, Drawing and painting for the kids.
The kids will also, in the tradition of RHA, learn personal responsibility, so that the learning environment, the learning process, and the other kids in the classroom are respected.
Hours will be 2:30 until 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, school holidays excepted during the private/public school year. Tuition is $850 per month.
We will expand into physical exercise, as time and demand allow, especially during the Summer Sessions, to start in Summer 2015.
